If you're a practicing lawyer in Ontario and are not already a member of your local law association, simply send an email to your local Law Association President or librarian and let them know you want to join!
So you're either already a member or just joined (congrats!). Now get active. Join a Committee, run for the Board, ask your President how you might come to a FOLA Plenary! And sign up for our Newsletter to stay in the loop! Have a look at our current newsletter here.
Join one of FOLA's Committees. You can have a look at who our Committee Chairs are here or just ask your Law Association President.
All of our Board Members are Past Presidents of their home Law Association. So the only way you can serve on FOLA's Board is to be your Law Association President. But once you've done Steps 1&2 and know you want to become your Association's President - win that race and then let anyone on our Board know you're interested and we'll jump for joy! Seriously!
